Frequently asked questions
Where can I still buy Monero?
As of 4 November 2026, 15 centralised exchanges tracked by CoinGecko have a live XMR market, with about $196.8 million of 24-hour volume between them. No-KYC swap services and peer-to-peer markets such as Haveno are the other main routes.
Why have exchanges delisted Monero?
Most delistings cite regulatory pressure on privacy coins. The EU's anti-money-laundering rules will stop regulated crypto service providers from handling anonymity-enhancing coins from 2027, and several other jurisdictions restrict them already. See the regulation table on this page.
Is an exchange available in my country?
The country shown is where the exchange is registered according to CoinGecko, not where it accepts customers. Check each exchange's own terms for restricted countries.
