Monero transaction checker

See whether a transaction confirmed, and prove a payment with its transaction key. The key is checked on your device and never leaves it.

+

Prove a payment (optional)

Only the TXID is looked up, through a public Monero node. We don’t store it.

Where to find the transaction key

Desktop wallets

In Feather or the Monero GUI, open the transaction’s details in your history and copy the “Tx key” / transaction key field.

Mobile wallets

Open the payment in your transaction list. Wallets that support proofs show a transaction key there; not every mobile wallet does.

CLI

get_tx_key <txid> shows the key. The receiver can also verify with check_tx_key <txid> <key> <address>.

Key missing?

Transaction keys are random and stored only on the device that sent the payment. A wallet restored from its seed can’t recover keys for older payments.

Questions people ask

How do I check if my Monero transaction went through?
Paste the transaction ID (TXID) from your wallet’s history. If it shows in mempool, it was broadcast and is waiting for the next block (about 2 minutes on average). Once it has 1 confirmation it is in the blockchain; the receiver can spend it after 10 confirmations, roughly 20 minutes.
My Monero transaction is pending for hours. What do I do?
If this checker says “not found”, the network never received it: your wallet was likely connected to a node that dropped it. Rescan or reconnect to a different node (see our live node list) and the wallet will rebroadcast. If it is in the mempool, it will confirm; Monero blocks are rarely full.
How do I prove I sent a Monero payment?
Give the receiver three things: the TXID, the transaction key (in most wallets: transaction details → “tx key”; in the CLI: get_tx_key TXID) and the address you paid. Anyone can then verify here that the transaction sent that amount to that address. The key proves only that payment.
Is it safe to enter my transaction key here?
The key is used only by JavaScript in your browser and is never sent to our server. Only the TXID is looked up, through a public Monero node. A transaction key cannot spend funds; it only reveals which outputs of that one transaction went to the address you enter.
Why can’t I see the sender, receiver or amount without a key?
Monero hides them by design: stealth addresses hide the receiver, ring signatures hide the sender and RingCT hides the amount. That is why a transaction key, or the receiver’s view key, is needed to prove a payment.
