XMRList Editorial Team
The people who review listings and write the guides on XMRList. We have been reviewing businesses that accept Monero since the directory started, and every guide is published under the team name.
What we do
- Review every listing against the business's own website and terms: whether it really accepts XMR, what KYC it asks for, Tor access, JavaScript requirements and more.
- Grade listings A–F with a public rubric. Grade changes are recorded in the audit log.
- Write and update guides on buying, spending, storing and accepting Monero, and track exchange availability by country on where to buy Monero.
How we research
- Facts come from primary sources first: official sites, terms of service, project repositories, exchange notices and regulator texts. Guides link the sources they rely on.
- If we can't verify a claim, we leave it out or say it's unverified.
- Every guide shows when it was published and when it was last updated. Time-sensitive guides (exchange availability, regulations, software versions) are re-checked and updated.
- Translations are machine-assisted and checked against the English original. If a translation and the English version differ, the English version applies.
Independence
- XMRList is paid for by sponsored placements and listing review fees. Sponsorship buys a position on the page, never a grade, a status or a better review.
- When a guide mentions a business that pays for a placement, or one run by people behind XMRList, the guide says so.
- We don't accept payment to write about a business except in posts clearly labelled "Sponsored".
Corrections
Found a mistake? Send it with a source. We check every report, fix what's wrong, and note material changes. Businesses can respond to anything we write about them the same way, or claim their listing from its page to suggest edits.
